The Karolina dress offers effortless fashion with minimal sewing. Crafted with two different fabrics, it's a stylish way to use up your fabric stash. Its elastic waistband at the back cinches and flatters your figure, while the front waist ties create a polished look.

Model is 5'8 and is wearing size M.

FABRIC SUGGESTIONS: 

This pattern is a combination of stretch and woven fabrics. The dress front and ties are knit, the back is woven. Go ahead and make yours in an all knit combination. If you choose all woven you may need to size up.

Choose fabrics of a medium dress weight. When choosing your fabrics, do not combine natural fibre fabrics with synthetic fibre fabrics. Choose all natural fibres OR all synthetic so shrinkage rates are equal.

For the knit front, choose medium weight rayon, viscose or poly knits. For the back, a shirting weight cotton, linen, rayon, viscose, polyester and silk will work.

YARDAGE AND SUPPLIES:

FABRIC FRONT: 1.25-1.4 yards (1.1m-1.3m)

FABRIC BACK:  1.3-1.5 yards  (1.2m-1.4m)

 ELASTIC: Neck: 5/8” wide: 5”- 8” long        (13cm-20.5cm)

                  Waist: 1½” wide: 15 ½”- 25” long (40cm-63.5cm)

 FUSING: 10cm/4” lightweight fusing for back waistband and neck facing.

 Matching thread.
